Privacy notice
This is a personal site. Messages you submit are used only to reply, are never published, sold or used for advertising. Below is what is collected, why, where it is stored, how long it is kept, and what you can do about it.

1. What is collected
Information you provide: name, email, phone (optional), company/team (optional), topic, timeline (optional), budget range (optional), message and submission language.
Technical information: a salted hash of your IP address (for rate limiting; the raw IP is not stored), browser user agent, and referring page/parameters for abuse prevention and understanding where enquiries come from.
No third-party advertising trackers. No account is required.
2. Why it is used
To reply to your enquiry, assess scope and arrange a conversation; for hiring, to evaluate role fit.
To prevent spam, abuse and fraud, and to keep the form secure and available.
No automated decision-making, advertising profiles or sale to third parties.
3. Storage and processors
Hosting and edge compute: Cloudflare (Pages / Functions).
Message database: Supabase (Postgres, server-side access only, row-level security enabled, no anonymous reads).
Email notification (optional): Resend, used only when configured to notify me of a new message.
Human verification (optional): Cloudflare Turnstile, loaded only when enabled.
GitHub API: displays public repository information on the open-source page; it does not receive your message.
These providers may process data in different countries/regions. I keep data minimal and choose reasonable regional settings.
4. Retention
Messages are kept for up to 12 months for follow-up and record-keeping, then deleted or anonymised.
If you ask for deletion, I will handle it within a reasonable period unless retention is legally required.
Server logs are retained by Cloudflare under its policies; I do not export personal logs separately.
5. Your rights
You can request access, correction or deletion of the information you submitted, and ask how it is processed.
Email mingzhenyb@163.com with the email you used and your request; I may need to verify identity.
If your jurisdiction grants additional rights (e.g. GDPR/CCPA), I will cooperate within applicable law.
6. Cookies and analytics
No advertising cookies and no login are required.
If Cloudflare Web Analytics is enabled, it provides aggregate, cookie-less statistics; if not configured, no analytics script is loaded.
Language preference or hint dismissal may be stored locally in your browser for experience only, not tracking.
7. Security
The form submits over HTTPS. The database only allows server-side writes and anonymous reads are blocked; secrets never enter client code.
No system is absolutely secure. Do not send passwords, keys, identity numbers or full client data in a message.
